Hotel Chain Logo and Property Photo Guidelines
Sabre Travel Network is pleased to offer our Hotel Associates the opportunity to display logos and photos through our online channels, including major online travel agencies like Travelocity.com, World Choice Travel, TravelNow, Hotels.com and Destina.ca; as well as to travel agencies who use our point-of-sale tools like Sabre.Res and MySabre (TM). There is no charge for this service, however, we ask that you please submit images in accordance with a few simple guidelines.
If you are submitting images via the Hotel eServices online Imagery Upload Tool, follow the guidelines in Section 1 below. If you are submitting batches of images via CD or FTP, please see the specifications in Section 2 below.
1. Submitting images via the Hotel eServices online Imagery Upload Tool
Our Hotel eServices online Imagery Upload Tool streamlines the process of submitting and maintaining logos and photos. Here are instructions and an overview of the process.
1. Login
For security purposes, you must authenticate your company identity, which includes a User ID and Password. A User ID and Password are issued for each Hotel Associate and provided by your Sabre
Travel Network account manager.
2. After Login, select to upload either a Chain Logo or Property Photos.
Select either Logo imagery or Photo imagery and "click" Continue. For Photos, please designate the 6 digit Sabre
system property number (use leading zeros for property numbers less than 6 digits). The Imagery Upload Tool will verify the
property number corresponds to your chain code.
3. Review Existing Images
The Imagery Upload Tool displays a small view of each of the images in our database. If nothing exists, "No Image" appears in the box. Images will appear
immediately after they are submitted in online tool. After Sabre reviews for quality,
they will be posted our production media servers, usually within 2 business days. For new Sabre
system property numbers and/or switchovers, it may take from 2 up to 15 business days before photos can be submitted. This is because new Sabre
system property numbers and/or switchovers are added to the Image Upload Tool every 15 days.
On the Photo Image Upload page the Property Information displays: Sabre system property number, Hotel name and Address. Hotel Associates should use this information to validate which property you are reviewing and will be submitting changes for. To see a full size image, click on the small view. Similarly, on the Logo Image Upload page, the existing logo displays for verification purposes. If nothing exists, "No Image" appears in the box.
4. Upload Images
For each category (Logo, Exterior photo, Lobby photo, etc.), select a file from your PC to upload. To do this, "click" on the Browse button and choose the file you wish to submit. The file directory/path will appear in the dialogue box next to the Browse button. Hotel Associates should verify the file type submitted is .jpg for each photo and .gif for each logo. Use this process for submitting additional images. The photos are categorized as follows:
When you have finished submitting all images, scroll to bottom of the page and select Continue to submit the image(s).
GUIDELINES:
* Property Photos should not be smaller than 200 pixels in height or 200 pixels in width.
* Individual file size should range from 4 k to 3.5 megs. Files are checked for these parameters and will not be accepted.
* Submit up to 6 photos maximum. The Image Upload Tool requires placing the new image file name in the dialogue box next to the Browse button. Select the file from your desktop and ensure the correct path appears in the box.
* A Small- and Medium- thumbnail will automatically be created from the "Exterior" photo. The size for these are 100 x 100 and 200 x 200, respectively. Hotel Associates will not see this, but thumbnails will automatically be loaded to production.
* Please ensure that a primary "Exterior" photo exists or is submitted. This primary photo will serve as a link in order to display subsequent photos (Lobby, Pool, etc.) to users on the various web sites. Also, Small- and Medium- thumbnails for the property can not be created without the full size Exterior image.
* To change an image, "click" on the Browse button and choose the file from your desktop that you wish to submit. Previous/existing photos are overwritten and are not saved by Sabre.
* We highly recommend the use of High-Resolution photos for best image quality.
* The Image Upload Tool will automatically name the images in the Sabre Travel
Network naming convention. This conveniently saves a step when submitting your image files.
* Switchovers: Please add to your Switchover process to also review existing logo and photos when your company acquires a hotel property or chain.
* Deleting an image completely, with no replacement, please send your request in writing via email to
our Hotel Desk at switchovers@sabre.com, via Sabre
system Queue message to QP/XAHG, or via facsimile to 682-605-8848.
* Hotel Photos are in .jpg format. The Chain Logo is restricted to .gif file format, which gives smaller images a better appearance. (Image converters are widely available via the Internet to translate .jpg to .gif and vice versa).
5. Quality Control and Submission
Hotel Associates should review all images for:
Sabre will review images for quality and will notify Hotels Associates of any unacceptable images
Once logos and photos are submitted, Sabre Travel Network reviews for quality and posts them to our production server within 2 business days. For new Sabre
system property numbers and/or switchovers, it may take from 2 up to 15 business days before photos can be submitted. This is because new Sabre
system property numbers and/or switchovers are added to the Image Upload Tool every 15 days.

2. Submitting property photos in batches via a CD or FTP
Hotel Associates must provide photos using the naming conventions outlined below. We can make arrangement for you to ftp to our ftp server or we can pull images from your ftp server. Bulk images can be submitted via a CD. Please make sure property numbers are valid Sabre system property numbers for your Chain Code. You can submit as many photos as you like on the CD or via ftp.
1. Name
Create the photos and save in the following naming convention, using the Sabre 6-digit property number (include leading zeroes if necessary). The alpha character (A,B,C,D,E and F) should be upper case. The file extension should be lower case, i.e., .jpg. The photos are categorized with the alpha character as follows:
GUIDELINES:
* Property Photos should not be smaller than 200 pixels in height or 200 pixels in width.
* Property Photos should be of high quality and large. Sabre Travel network will resize photos
not to exceed 500 pixels in height or 500 pixels in width.
* Individual file size not be smaller than at 4K. Files are checked for these parameters and will not be accepted.
* Submit up to 6 photos maximum, one for each category: A, B, C, D, E, or F. If a new image is submitted, it will automatically overwrite the existing photo(s). Overwritten photos are not saved by Sabre.
* A Small- and Medium- thumbnail will automatically be created from the "Exterior" photo. The size for these are 100 x 100 and 200 x 200, respectively.
* Please ensure that a primary "A" (Exterior) photo is always submitted. This primary photo will serve as a link in order to display subsequent photos (B, C, etc.) to users on the various web sites. Please separate the "A" photo (Exterior) into a separate folder (with B through F in another fold), and Sabre will create thumbnails based on the Exterior "A" photos.
* Please ensure the above naming convention is followed and that a primary "A" photo is always included. Otherwise photos for the property can not be processed.
* To change an image, simply resubmit via this batch process or the Image Upload Tool. Previous/existing photos are overwritten and are not saved by
Sabre Travel Network.
* We highly recommend the use of High-Resolution photos for best image quality.
* Switchovers: Please add to your Switchover process to also review existing logo and photos when your company acquires a hotel property or chain.
* Deleting an image completely, with no replacement, please send your request in writing via email to
our Hotel Desk at switchovers@sabre.com, via Sabre

* Your Chain Logo can be submitted via the Hotel eServices online Imagery Upload Tool, but if you choose to send it to
Sabre Travel Network, please use the following naming convention with your Sabre chain code:
2. Save
When you save the hotel property photo files, save them as .jpg format. Save hotel chain logo files as .gif format (gives smaller images a better appearance).
